The weird things you discover when finishing a manuscript

I didn't write a chapter 12 for Prophets.
No, I didn't leave anything out, I just went straight from 11 to 13.
No, I don't know how it happened.
Yes, this is a sort of pointless comment.

But funny. And weird stuff happens when you're writing.

If it were a post-modern, metafictional, experimental comment on genre, you could leave it that way. But since we're actually going to read it instead of just, you know, sort of admire it, you should probably fix it.

Perhaps this means something? Have you been missing any time recently? Strange flashbacks about big-eyed, green or grey-faced folk with bright lights?

I think it has something to do with this "Cloverfield" movie. Yeah, I think it does.
